Modern airport development, to assessment of
completely new sites with associated infrastructure require-ments
and optimal routing, to expansion of existing facilities, all
require in-depth and appropriate geotech-nical contributions.
Mott MacDonald is proud to have been a key designer for British
Airports Authority’s Heathrow Terminal 5 where we have been
responsible for all the ground works including foundation design,
earthworks and assessment of tunnel geotechnics. Mott MacDonald
also has a wealth of global experience and recently undertook
assessments of geomorphological and ground hazards, and earthworks
issues associated with the development of the New Quito Airport in
Ecuador.
